Lubricate the oil ports by applying a few drops on them.

Cleanout and observation ports as shown in figure 12 2 an oil furnace typically is provided with one or two cleanout ports to allow access to the heat exchanger for cleaning soot removal.
They may have red or other colored plastic caps that cover them.
