It can be grown from seed and is denser and slower growing than other cultivars. It grows at a slow rate and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for 80 years or more. Depending on climate of growing location baby blue spruce grows to a full sized tree approximately 35 45 feet tall but is somewhat more slender than common colorado blue spruce. It grows best in areas with warm not hot summers.
